There's a time and a place for laid-back, comfy and casual. There's a time and place for stylish (and possibly uncomfortable). Truth be known, there's a time and place for just about any look.

We're trying to imagine the time and place for these pajamas. Though they're billed as "wedding pajamas", we're pretty sure they're not intended to be worn to the wedding, unless, that is, you've taken "casual" to a whole new level. (Or you're Ricardo and Marcea!)

There can't be many brides who'd consider this appropriate "first night" attire. (Can there?) We'd be willing to bet there'd be even fewer grooms who'd be thrilled to see them make an appearance during the honeymoon. Well, maybe, if you're spending a night or two in an ice hotel.

So, they're soft and comfy and warm, and it's fun being the bride and all, but really ... where would you wear them?

A night in a honeymoon suite can spoil you. Your own bed just doesn't seem as nice anymore after you've spent a night in the most luxurious linens your skin has ever touched.

If you can't stop daydreaming about resting your head on those pillows again, you don't have to move into a luxury hotel. When you imagine your honeymoon, where are you staying? Are you renting a condo for yourselves, or a luxury suite somewhere fancy? What makes this vacation special for you?

For an unforgettable stay with luxurious accommodations, consider traveling to Harlingen, Netherlands. Why? They have some of the coolest hotels in the world. "Hotel" may not be the best word to describe the Harlingen Lighthouse, since there's only one suite available, but that's what they call this out-of-service lighthouse in the historic docks of Harlingen.

Sister hotels in the same area are the Harbour Crane (in, you guessed it, a crane), and the Lifeboat (yep, it's a lifeboat). The most popular, and our favorite, is the lighthouse, with its three story luxury suite. You can go up to the lantern room for a magnificent view, and listen to shipping traffic on a radio the owners have placed there. You have to book early, though -- even at €319 per night, the lighthouse is already booked solid through 2008!

Here in North America, we have decided that it's tacky to ask for money at your wedding. This is a little ironic since by the standards of some other cultures, the whole North American Big White Wedding Industry is itself an exercise in the very tacky. All this proves is that "tacky" is relative. What would have horrified etiquette mavens of another time is perfectly acceptable today; what seems awful to us is fine to another culture. And you know what? No one's right, no one's wrong. It is what it is.

Enter the "Buy our Honeymoon" website. Now, even those among us who actually did ask her guests to contribute to her honeymoon (there's at least on one staff here) found this name a bit, well, tacky. But when we investigated a little further, we were pleasantly surprised.

San Diego is not only a perfect wedding city, it's great for your honeymoon, too. With great weather, gorgeous sandy beaches, and lots of great places to visit, you can't go wrong. If you're into trendy places and want a sophisticated, elegant venue, take a look at the Ivy Hotel.

Featured in Condé Nast Traveler's 2008 "Hot List," the Ivy has what you need to plan your wedding. Their rooftop area has city and ocean views. You can use their wedding planner to help get things in order for your big day. And when you book a room for your wedding night, they'll provide you a butler.

The trendy night club, Envy, can host your bachelorette party. If you really want to go crazy, though, the Star Suite has king-sized bunk beds, a group-sized shower, and a performance pole. You know, for all of the crazy pole dancing you'll be doing. And if you seriously want to dance, well, they even offer pole dancing lessons.

If you view the last days before your wedding as a time to let loose, then some of that crazy stuff may be right for you. But if you prefer to keep it more mellow, you can still take advantage of their ballrooms or use the rooftop for its amazing views.

Of course, AisleDash is our very favorite wedding blog (why on earth would you want to go anywhere else?), we have to admit we were pretty excited when AisleDash's own Becky told us about someone else in the wedding industry who would be blogging!

What simple, fun activity can ... boost the immune system by 30 percent, cut a man's risk of heart attack and/or stroke in half, alleviate pain from arthritis and menstrual cramps? You've had your lovely wedding, you're on your lovely honeymoon, and you're just so proud! You've done it! The ceremony was wonderful, and you're so pleased to have this lovely shiny new husband. You want everyone to know!

So you buy yourself one of these, just to declare your newlywed status to the world. (Or maybe you even wore the white bikini under a sarong for your destination beach wedding!) You can hardly wait to walk along the beach, attired in your bridal bikini, hand in hand with your beloved.

We think it's pretty likely that, if you're that eager that people know, everyone in about 500 yards of the two of you would pick you out as newlyweds, even without the labels. Because you'll just be so gosh-darn cute!

When you put your wedding announcement in the newspaper, it tells the world that you are happy, in love, getting married to the guy or girl of your dreams -- and that you won't be home that day. Wedding announcements make a crook's job pretty easy, because they know that on your wedding day, you (and often your neighbors, since you probably invited them to the ceremony) are not around to stop or witness a break-in.

To guard against wedding day break-ins, we suggest finding a house-sitter for the day. Since your available friends will presumably be at your wedding, you may want to hire someone, or get a friend of a friend to do it. If you can't get anyone to hang out at your place for the day, leave a light on out front and ask your neighbors to park a car or two in your driveway.

While you're away on your honeymoon, it's also a good idea to make sure it looks like someone's home. Have a neighbor get your mail and newspaper, or have the post office hold your mail and suspend your newspaper subscription for the week. Set your inside lights on a timer so that it appears someone is inside. For criminals looking for the easy job of robbing an empty house, a little discouragement can be enough to send them away.

Following American Airlines' lead, US Air and United Airlines have announced new fees to check luggage. Each of the airlines will charge $15 for the first checked bag. Most airlines have already instituted $25 fees for the second bag, and as of July 1, Southwest will be the only airline to allow two checked bags for free.

Airline industry experts expect to see more charges in the future as airlines struggle to keep up with rising fuel costs. In addition to the baggage fees, US Air will begin charging for all beverages served on its planes: $2 for all non-alcoholic drinks, and $7 for alcohol, which is up from $5.

As you prepare your wedding travel budget, be sure to figure in these extra fees. Pack as lightly as possible, bring some extra cash to cover any unexpected charges, and bring your own snacks.

If we were to base life on romance novels and soap operas, we wouldn't even bother with this question -- obviously, the main thing on everyone's mind when it comes time for the honeymoon is sex, right? You'll go to a swanky hotel with a gorgeous bed and get busy four times a day, just like everyone else.

Except, in real life, everyone else isn't doing that. In fact, many newlyweds don't rank sex even close to being their top priority on their honeymoon.
